Mayor should attend presentation in Torquay

It was reported in the HE (10/04/08) that yet another presentation of the Mayoral Vision will have to be arranged at the Redcliffe Hotel as the venue was not large enough to accommodate all those wishing to attend. It seems that this subject is one which really interests local residents, and I would imagine there will be an even bigger attendance at the presentation on the evening of 23rd April at the Princess Theatre in Torquay. Given the strength of feeling among local residents on the subject, shouldn't the Mayor also attend the meeting, rather than sending his deputy?
